FRANK & NELLY OTTESEN

Faith that became
a shared vision.

CBCFI began with the vision of Frank Ottesen, from Norway, and Nelly Ottesen, from the Philippines. The family arrived in Cagayan de Oro in 1996 and began their work from a rented house.

With the help of people who shared their Christian calling, a television ministry took shape. The first test broadcast followed in May 1997.

The ministry’s purpose was to bring the gospel through television and radio, strengthen Christian faith and connect churches across denominational boundaries.
